When is QuakeCon 2008?[TOP]
Quakecon is held from July 31 - August 3, 2008. The event starts in the morning on the 31st and continues until noon on the 3rd.
Where is QuakeCon 2008?[TOP]
QuakeCon is held at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. Traditionally Quakecon is held in the DFW area in Texas. Why? because id Software is based there and they're a large part of what makes QuakeCon possible.

How do I get into QuakeCon 2008?[TOP]
To attend QuakeCon 2008, you must be registered. You can register at the event itself, but you may not get a spot in the tournaments or BYOC. The only way to guarantee a spot in either one is to pre-register at QuakeCon.org.
The date for pre-registration has not yet been announced.
Space in the BYOC and tournaments is limited, and you are strongly encouraged to register to ensure that you get a spot.
You say no one gets turned away, does that mean I can get a spot in the BYOC for sure?[TOP]
No, by that we mean you will be able to attend QuakeCon and its events, but you will not be able to bring your machine into the BYOC or play in the tournament unless space permits. The only way to bring your computer is to choose the option that you are "Bringing your PC" when registering at Quakecon.org.

Yes, anyone attending QuakeCon 2007, regardless of why, must be registered. No one will be let into the main areas without being registered.

Cool RESPAWN. BTW, if you ARE planning on going and can offer a ride, you should put that somewhere in your post like. If you'd like to go but would like to get a ride, put "Need Ride from ********" or something similar and where you'd be leaving from. Same deal if you have room for more in the hotel or are looking for a room to split

Hey guys i live in the D/FW area, & will be attending the event again. Ive been attending since back in 2005. Im hoping to get a hotel room around there, that way i dont have to drive back n forth (since it usually takes me about 30 mins to get to that hotel). Also if you want to park for free, there a hotel right across the street.
the place where u can park for free across from the anatole is called the hilton garden inn (not sure if ive said this, but i park there the whole time last yr) also news flash: if u have ne handheld devices (psp, ds, etc) u r allowed 2 bring em. i saw some kid playin like megaman on his psp last year (i could tell it was an emulator)

QuakeCon will once again host North America's largest BYOC (Bring-Your-Own-Computer) LAN party, as well as an expanded exhibits area with nearly 60 companies demonstrating their latest products. Of course, it wouldn't be QuakeCon without highly-competitive tournaments for serious cash and bragging rights, parties, contests, entertainment and announcements.
Registration for the BYOC area will kick off at 9 p.m. ET on April 30, 2008 at www.quakecon.org.
The Hilton Anatole is now taking room reservations for QuakeCon 2008 through their custom QuakeCon reservation page or through their toll-free reservations number, 1-800-HILTONS. To receive the specially negotiated room rate of $137.00 (single, double, triple or quad occupancy) and the special daily self-park rate of $5 (regularly $15 per day), you must request the group rate for “QuakeCon 2008” or book through the link above when making your reservation. The hotel requires a $50 non-refundable deposit on group reservations, which will be credited to your final room bill upon check-out. Rooms at this special rate are limited.

Yeah, I want to make it out there, but I won't know for sure if I'll be able to go until we get closer to the actual dates. (Also, I think I forgot to reply to your PM Ryael. Sorry about that.) I just have way too much going on in my life to be able to commit to QuakeCon right now. !shy
