everytime i exit TF2 and sometimes randomly in-game. and when ever i try to play DoD, i connect to the map then it goes to the blue screen and says this

this happens all the time...i finally got annoyed and posted it here

like i said before it happens everytime i exit TF2 and i cant play DoD at all

i googled it but there are SO many things you can do

any help??

do you have the latest updates for windows, steam client, TF2, DOD, video, sound, and motherboard drivers? i remember i had a problem like that about a year ago and it was my vid card that wasnt with the correct drivers....check for updates for all of your hardware mainly

You can find out your mobo by using a system info app like Evergreen.

You could also try debugging your dump files...

Sounds like a software conflict, bad drivers, non-installed drivers, or gremlins eating your computer from the inside out.

for the memtest..... can i save it to anything else other that a floppy or disk???

i dont have a floppy drive and my disk drive does not work


can i save it on a external hard drive?

You can put memtest on anything your system can boot to, be that flash drives, external hdd's, or a burnt cd.

Check your BIOS settings... Some have a boot menu, where you press an F# key to display a menu to choose your boot device. Otherwise, there'd be setting to set the preferred order, and possibly a 'press any button to boot from...' message when you boot up.

Can we get some info on your computer? Brand, model, Ram, Video card, Sound Card, Operating System, Motherboard. Any information that you can provide us will be helpful. Do you have a dedicated video card or is it onboard?

i think i have narrowed it down...

i thinks its my RAM... even though i have 1 Gb of RAM, it is very old ( probably about 5 years, thast not a long time but we all know how far comps have come since then)

we also bought som RAm off a friend we have no idea how old it is but its probably just as old as mine...

when my comp got locked up today it restarted and gave me the same error message

one of our friends is really good with comps and said that my RAM might have a "timing issuse" or just be to old ar something so i'll run a memtest and see what happens

sorry for all the questions about memstest but... how can i find out what USB port my flash drive is plugged into? when i went to change the boot-up... there was four? i think they were stuff like USB-HDD and stuff like that how can i find out what one

i know it says its plugged into (H... but it says that for anyone i put it in
