I played it on the PS4 beta. I like it, but I hate it.
The system features (cards, characters, etc) are nice, but it is WAY too slow.
Think about playing DOTA with the perspective of Smite. You get that 'action' feel from the perspective, but you have to deal with slow cooldowns like you'd see in an overhead MOBA. If they were to maybe drag out the animations for basic attacks or something, it wouldn't be too bad, but from what I saw it just made it feel way too slow for it's own good.
It tries to remedy this by allowing you to "sprint" which is slightly, but not much, faster than the normal walk.
Now for the goods:
Card system
Character bio/info
Two separate exp systems for character (champion) and cards
Let me explain that card exp for a second:
Instead of buying items, you 'equip' cards. If you want to have more cards or upgrade them, you have to get the exp for the cards, which is separate from your champion's level. This can get tedious as there are certain spots on the map that your team can take control of. After some time, these control points start 'farming' the exp and you have to go to the control point in order to obtain said exp. If the enemy team takes it, well, you're outta luck.
TL;DR - It's fun in it's own way, but you're better off sticking to Smite or Dota, or any other MOBA that you might play. Once they fix a few things it MIGHT be worthy of sinking time into.
