Hey Guys! I was just reading a review of the Oculus Rift (http://www.pcgamer.com/oculus-rift-review/) on PCGamer and have heard some pretty phenomenal things about this device. I haven' t yet been able to try it out for myself, but i'm very into the whole immersive gaming experience. Personally I play BF4 on three monitors which gives me almost a 180 degree view of wherever my gun is pointed, that in and of itself is extremely immersive (5760 x 1080 resolution). This little device may actually surpass my three monitors!
Just wanted to throw around some ideas about this device. I believe it's going to take off like a rocket, and really sell huge volumes. The device still has yet to be somewhat integrated into FPS shooters. It would be nice to look in one direction and have your gun pointed in another.
Has anyone heard about possible integration of a device like this into any FPS shooters? The Battlefield franchise has been an amazingly profitable portion of EA's gaming library, so I would expect them to be on the bandwagon for this type of device, as it would bring in new players and more sales. What do you guys think? Expectations? Has anyone actually tried it, what were your feelings?
All the best,
Binary
