Tech Help Finding The Right Gaming Mouse

I've been currently in the market for a new mouse these past couple of weeks. Right now I'm using a Gear Head Nano Wireless Mouse and have been using the same brand for almost three years I believe, however the mouse wheel is broken (won't scroll correctly, automatically scrolls by itself during a game).

I've looked on Amazon for some new mouses (preferably wireless), but have sadly twice now bought mouses that were too cheap or misleading on their product description which prompted me to return them immediately.

Anyone have any recommendations toward a relatively cheap 'gaming' mouse that won't destroy the wallet and has decent specifications?

Honestly its all personal preferences. Your best bet is go to store try some mouses see whats feels most natural. I use to have razer deathadder, but the problem was the way I hold. I lift the mouse slightly so sometimes it would not track correctly. I switched to steel series rival 100, which is relatively small and tracks good for me.

Yeah, but I don't know any stores that would offer a "feel" for the mouse before buying it. I also pickup my mouse to move as well sometimes.

What is your preferred grip on your mouse?

I use a claw grip when gaming, then when just casually surfing the web, I transition to a relaxed palm grip. Personally I own a Roccat Kone Military / Razer Mamba since it suits both of my preferred grips.

What is your preferred grip on your mouse?

Quite honestly don't know. I change throughout the game. It all depends on what I want to do. My mouse is really small so I can't really rest my palm onto the mouse, it lays behind it on the mouse pad just a bit.

Thank you for the suggestions though! Hopefully there's so more insight on the different types of grip because honestly quite confusing at the moment.

If you have Amazon prime you can go ahead and order a few different ones and return the ones you don't want, put them back in the same shipping box, UPS driver will come back to your house to get them.

Look around; walmart, Best Buy, or a Frys or Microcenter typically have a few display models for you to at least try. I know that BB tries to show off the "gamer gear" to entice buyers. Perfect way to get a feel.

You said "perferably" wireless but I can't in good conscience recommend a wireless mouse for gaming.

Lots of mouse packages are designed to allow you to see if the mouse fits in your hand nicely

Well i recomend the Steelseries Rival, it's very comfortable for any kind of grip and you can change it's DPI, it's acceleration and it has RGB lighting if you care about that
But anyways it's a very good and comfortable mouse to use, i have been using it for a couple of months now and i think it's amazing and the sensor i think it's one of the best, oh and it's not wireless but it has a very long and lightweight cord.

I have a lot of mice but prefer my Roccat Kone XTD. I palm grip right handed.
The new Logitech wireless is getting good press but I still go wired myself due to old issues...

I love my Razer Deathadder Chroma, goes well with my Razer Deathstalker keyboard. All bought off Amazon with no issues, plus the delivery time was nice with Amazon prime. The local best buy's never have Razer in stock.

Oh my gosh, I just found out there is another brand of thumb trackball! This one appears to have adjustable DPI unlike the M570, but it lacks the logitech quality according to reviewers... hmmm

It is very much so personal preference.
I have the Razer Deathadder Chroma.

Before I had the solid green version that I had for a few years and it is still working strong I ended up giving it to my friend and he still is using it. A lot of people don't like the brand but I think that it is really good and will last several years.
