Hi,
My name is Tarun Krishnan.
On April 6th an esteemed member of our community had a birthday. Everybody wished him a happy birthday and sang to him, it was a very jolly event. After this event in teamspeak I went up to my step-parents and asked them why no-one ever came to my parties. In fact, I've never actually seen an invitation to one of my parties. The response was this: "we don't know". My birthday was in either June, August, September, October, or November of 2002. My family chose September because "9th" was my kindergarten nickname and 20 was my favorite number. After being told this, I looked back on my life. Everything I've known has been a lie and I think it's only explained by telling my story:
I was born in Missisauga Hospital in Ontario, Canada. My mother was the only one who was with me since I was a Christmas mistake and my father deserted us. When I turned one my mother shot herself. She suffered from PTSD since she was a nurse in the war and was the only nurse to survive an attack in the middle east. My father heard about the news and came back into my life making sure I wouldn't die or anything like that. He couldn't afford to take care of me so he put me up for foster care so I could get an education and grow up as a kid. My first family was abusive. After a year with them I was separated since I had and still have scars from their beatings. I was whipped and punched. After that my dad heard about this and put me up for foster care a second time. My new family was/is loving and caring but they were poor. For Diwali, my father bought me a scratchcard. Soon after, both my step-parents and my father became rich. I had won a total of 7.5 Million for my family (excluding tax). My blood-father invested wisely and Made a profit of about 3 million. This is where I got inheritance. When I turned 5 I was diagnosed with depression. This was the result of realizing I was adopted. My dad explained everything to me shown above. I accepted this. At the ages of 7 and 9 I attempted to take my life. Both times I was sent to a location to get my life back on track. Both times I was hospitalized. This year I was given a chance to skip a grade. I am already being recruited from colleges at 13 because of my adult like IQ and that I'm 6"4" and can lift 210 lbs. The fact that I was excelling at something took my mind of my depression as well as becoming friends with members such as ALm0sT_, B Dawg, Dan_, and LordClouds and joining eGO. In January my father was diagnosed with cancer. He passed away in February leaving me with his inheritance. I donated 50k to charity and sold everything I owned to add to the donations.
The point i'm trying to make is this:
Everyone has a story. Some have a big one and some have a small one. Unfortunately for me my story was full of violence and unfortunate incidents. I now know that I should have a purpose. Something that I can do to help others who were in my position. I'm now going to become an advocate for depression and parental abuse. I'm going to travel the U.S. and Canada in my spare time so that I can help those kids who need help and don't have a voice. For now my journey in eGO must unfortunately come to an end. I'll be on every once in a while, but for the few months I'm going to spread my story and help others spread theirs.
