Petition to get Uwe Boll from making horrible movies

We, the undersigned, respectfully ask that Uwe Boll give proper weight to the wishes of the video game community, the horror community, and the film going community in general and stop directing, producing, or taking any part in the creation of feature films. His distasteful handling of the subject matter and lack of acknowledgement of his failures simply cannot be abided any longer.

Mr. Boll has repeatedly shown a complete lack of comprehension regarding the videogames he has dragged, kicking and screaming, to the silver screen and his ham-fisted approach to horror has soiled future possibilities for anyone else who may attempt to bring videogames to film.

Stop Uwe Boll from Making movies, need to get 1 mil signatures and he stops!
 
i has the feeling that he's not gonna stop because we ask him to. Thats just my thoughts though.
 
I think that he has to stop because the german law that permited him to make bad movies was reformed, is a really long law but in a nutshell that law gave him the possibility to receive huges tons of money from private investers and only invest a fraction of that so he can return all the money completly clean (by now you know where the money comes), check in the onion where I read it.
 
yeah, no. It won't work, even if a million signatures were gathered. He'd spin it as this many people know who he is, so he's likely got several times that out there who would see his movies.

I do wish he'd stop, though... he's destroying my teenage years one video game at a time!

That is correct. The way it used to work was that there was a German law that provided tax shelters for film funding. Uwe actually used it the way it was meant to be used, since all the films were made by a German production company, with German workers, etc.

Under that law, however, it was better if a movie lost money, because then the whole film would be a write off. If it made money, then the investors would have to pay taxes on the profits.

The reforms to the law, however, were intended to punish filmmakers who abused the law for tax purposes (German investors not using it to generate economic growth for Germany). Since Boll uses the law the way it was intended, there's little chance that he'll be compelled to stop. Furthermore, if his movies loose money, the investors are happy, as it's a write-off.
 
Geez... I never realized how many bad movies he made...

Bloodrayne 1, 2, and 3 (in-production), Farcry, Postal... why...?
