The show takes place in Ogikubo, which is the name of the specially designated area in space in the Milky Way where Earthlings and aliens can live together. Luluco is a female middle school student who lives with her father, and no matter where she is, Luluco is a common, "super normal" girl. As she is living her normal life, one day the mysterious transfer student ΑΩ Nova abruptly appears before her. That meeting will change Luluco's fate.

Only seven minutes per episode, and every one is golden. Great comedy, fun, story, and well... everything. I think I am enjoying this one more than most so far this season. Definitely a fun watch to follow!

Started watching this and it's everything I could have hoped for.

And more, right?

lol, yeah. It almost feels like a distilled version Imaishi's last series Kill la Kill, keeping all the manic absurdity and cutting anything that could be considered dead weight. I'm curious though if they can make the 7 minute episode length work in the long run without it becoming a detriment.

The small details come all the way back around this episode. The little bug we saw a few times earlier crawling around her father was actually a super secret spy! I was so impressed that made something seem like it was there just to be there, and actually added it to a story. Goes to show how talented Trigger aka Gainax 1.5 (a lot of old Gainax employees founded and work for Trigger) can be with some of their original works.
