Goozex Inquiry

Hello All,

I was wondering if anybody has or is currently a member of Goozex. I have recently joined the site and have a few trades to send out today. I was wondering from those that have experience, do you have any tips or tricks to ensure successful/positive trades? Is delivery confirmation worth it for cart only (I'm sending GBA games out) or is regular first class mail sufficient for trading as long as its packaged sufficiently.

Any tips/tricks/suggestions anybody has would be appreciated.

Goozex is a game trading site. Basically the site acts as a middleman and you pay a $1 fee to trade games (April is free games month, so no fees right now). You earn points by trading away your games and you use these points to "buy" other games. Each game is assigned a point value based upon the system its on, the popularity, the rarity of the game and also how many copies are likely to be available for trading. Older games on older systems are usu. going to be lower in points than newer games on newer systems, but not always, and that's where rarity comes into play.

Anyways, once you trade and the person receives it you are given the points for your trade which you can then turn around and "buy" a new game. And it's not exactly renting as the games are yours to keep once you get them. Also, if you'd like to join you should let me know so that I can refer you. But yeah that's the basic speil of it.

Just list your game as you have it, try to send it out on time and don't try to give people the shaft. I had a good experience with it and need to get more trade points. I picked up FEAR and that XIII game or whatever it's called. Fear came in good condition and the other came in mint. Sadly this isn't always the case. My friend got some that were scratched up from overplaying, but they ran.

It's also a kind of video game log as well. They list games that were never released or ones that can't be traded, such as steam games, just so they can try to log everything that was and should of been. Can also find some hard to find games on there.... just sucks about having to get points =\
