This was my cat:

Was.

Today, I had to put him down due to complications of diabetic ketoacidosis. He was 13.

I just want you to know that he existed and that he made me very happy.

His name was Philadelphia, and he is missed.

I'll be back later. Much later.

That's all.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It has been hard for us since the loss. What many may not know, is 99% of the time, he was on my lap while I was on the server. He was also featured towards the end of my first video that I posted. It was sudden, it was unexpected, and it still hurts. I'm not a 100 percent yet, and it may be some time before that happens. I think I'll be more complete when I get his ashes back here. As of now, I am still this broken mess of a person, so interactions will pretty much cease until then. I haven't eaten anything since Sunday afternoon; stomach has been occupied with decaf, water, and copious amounts of alcohol.

If you have pets, and haven't done so in a while, just pull them aside, and tell them that you love them, because sudden things can and do often happen. If I knew then what I know now, I would have spent last weekend at home with him, instead of traveling the state. Time can easily be taken for granted when you do not think of it.

Sorry to hear, hope those good memories kick in when you need it most. Pets give off so much unconditional love.

Sorry to hear that. Losing a pet is losing a family member.. its always tough. I feel the same way about my cat. Especially one that follows you around everywhere.. My Cat is 13 and she is my shadow. I hope she gets to live a long life. Last week I had to take her in for something that seemed serious. I was very relieved when the Vet said it could be treated with Anti-biotics. So this post hits home especially for me.
I think 13 is the equivalent of like 67 human years. I guess the only thing we can do is be thankful it was a good 67 cat years.
