So I have been in eGO for a little over a year and I wanted to just say thanks to all who make it great. Many times we only hear from someone when they have a bad experience and the good "reviews" are left silent. So here is the good review of things I enjoy about eGO:
1) eGO is both inward and outward focused in many great ways. They want their members to have a great experience in the clan, but they also want those outside our clan to enjoy playing on our servers as well. This IS NOT an easy task because the wild world of gaming has all types of people that have opinions, which have to be considered. If a non-member has a problem with a member, they can bring it to our leaderships attention via the forums or TS and leadership will actually care to look into(or at least they seem to).
2) This goes into my second praise here is for our leadership. Now I certainly have had some "talking tos" from them. I don't always agree with decisions made, but in the end they are the ones that have to deal with all sorts of crap from all sorts of sources. Complaints, conflicts, and corrections are all done by the leadership. They pay people quite a bit of money to do this in corporations. Our leadership does it because they want to encourage and promote a better gaming experience. This takes ALOT of time and they are not compensated for nearly enough. So thanks for all your time invested leadership and you willingness to listen.
3) There are many many active members in all sorts of capacity. There are so many ways you can contribute and be apart of eGO. Furthermore, if you need to take a break from gaming or eGO, you are welcomed back when you can come back. Whether it be teamspeak, or the forums, or gaming events, or just being in the servers, I have gotten to know many members and there are many reasonable and fun people to play battlefield with in eGO. All sorts of members like to contribute in many ways. I have learned many different ways to play the game besides sitting in a cockpit. Having said this, if you ever see me in 24/7 Siege server and want to learn more about becoming an good heli-gunner, give me a shout and I would be happy to help. Find me in siege or add me on origin.
4) eGO makes player respect paramount. If a player, inside or outside eGO, gets disrespected, it's a big no-no. I cannot emphasize enough how much I respect this fact alone. It goes so far as to prohibit eGO members from using profanity inside the servers publicly. I love this fact because I personally think profanity doesn't usually add much to a respectful conversation anyways. Doesn't it feel good when someone else sticks up for you especially one that doesn't even know you? This is the experience that can be had in an eGO server.
5) It's just fun to be here. It's fun to get to know people. Fun to hear all sort of people on TS. It's fun to skirmish on our own servers. It's fun to have our own servers!
6) So in conclusion, (congrats if you made it to the end) I would like to encourage to others to post and say what they like about eGO. Feel free to call out other players in the ways they have helped you! I'll go first:
Scientisto - thanks for introducing me to other members of eGO when my application was approved. She called me out when I joined a server and all other eGO members currently in the server welcomed me.
Alex2142 and Jtipton - thanks for all the time you spent for training me in the ways of Admin. When I see a technical issue in the servers, I know I can always bring it to one of you and it gets taken care of.
Major_Shrapnel - We've had some good discussions on all TS privately on some of my observations and you seemed to care.
Aetos17 and H2hoe - We all "grew up" in the heli together before we were even eGO members. Thanks for flying me around. Sorry when I don't have the fire extinguisher equipped.....
Wizekracker - You challenged me to see you weren't "that type of sniper" so I joined you in metro to see what you meant. Respect on your sniper pistol combo. It's not some stupid COD perk, it's something you made work very well. Solid Player.
Lemmingsmasher - Thanks for planting that crack you call C4 on a wall on not on a floor so now I have to look everywhere for it in a tank when you are on the opposite team.
