internet explorer runtime error? please help

hey everyone, im uninstalled the internet explorer 8 beta and put 7 back on and now im geting this error whenever i close out of internet explorer and i have no clue what it means. could somone please help me?

it might be kind of hard to read but it says....

hmmm good point...whats the diference between firefox and internet explorer anyway?

idk... firefox is customizable... skins, looks, toolbars, and such... i think it runs quicker, and loads pages quicker, although that just might be my mind talking... idk i really like it and im pretty sure i will never go back to IE again

yeah me too, whenever im forced to use IE it feels like im using something from the stone ages

yeah ive never had a single problem with firefox, and cnet did a really good review of it, and i would have to say the exact same as them

I used to love Firefox, but I went to Opera on my Linux laptop, and I think it may be better. I haven't switched to it on my XP box yet (switching all my Firefox prefs and plugins was easy in Linux, less so in XP), but I plan on it next time I decide not to be lazy.
I have to use IE at work, and it just feels archaic these days. That, and it also feel ridiculously insecure, because it's so difficult to manage cookies in. With Adblock + and Cookie Monster, NOTHING goes on my HD that I don't want there.

Both Opera and Firefox are fine browsers.

Opera, in my opinion, is more polished and functional at its core. Firefox on the other hand has a very well developed third party community and I find I can't live without some addons these days.

Sometimes toolbars will cause IE to crash. Firefox is a great alternative, however it does not fix the problem. I remember on 2 different occasions that IE7 will crash if you had an older version of Yahoo Toolbar installed. Go to your Add/Remove programs and get rid of any unused toolbars.

IE definitely has an advantage, as it basically runs off of the native shell of the system, is easy to embed, and no matter what anybody'll tell you, it's the de-facto standard for web-compatibility. Everything works on IE, but as far as FF/Opera...

Firefox thrives mostly on it's 'open-source' mindset. You can take a default build, and customize every aspect of it to no end. Whatever your preference or need, you can shape Firefox to fulfill it.

Opera, however, is basically Firefox pre-built and setup for the average persons need. Personally, I find it ungainly, but I find that most people tend to prefer it (my demographic being mainly 45+ yr old housewives).

As for the original thread though... it sounds like you borked your IE install. As it's part of the shell, fixing it usually means an OS reinstall...
