Which GPU will you be buying and for what game

I have to rebuild my pc from the mobo up. So I'm probably going to get the 1080. Cause why not.

I've got more than just the video to upgrade, but I've been eyeballing the upcoming Radeon RX480 as a cheap powerhouse. Past that I've got to reintroduce myself to my motherboard and see if it's a AM3+ or just AM3 for the CPU, as well as how much RAM she'll hold.

Pumped on the 1070 but AMD's 480 looks like it could be good too (Waiting on some real benchmarks), only thing tho is NDA for the 480 don't drop till the card launches which makes me hesitate on that...
My 770 tho is still going strong so I can wait for a while before I upgrade.

I'm anxious to see the benchmarks also. Hopefully AMD can have a card that performs like the 1070 for a cheaper price tag.

Just rebuilt my comp earlier this year and went with an R9 380 4GB. I really wanna see what AMD is gonna do with the 480 and it's other new models and see how they perform. Also interested in the GTX 1000 series as well.

I was thinking about getting a GTX1070 for awhile there, but they're getting bought up like hot cakes. I'm probably just gonna run with a GTX 950 or 960 for awhile, due to PSU constraints. I really need to save up for a good CPU for Star Citizen

AMD R9 480 when it comes out as it will be a good performance increase for me. Especially the price.

9 months ago, I upgraded my GPU from Radeon HD6870 (hated that card) to GeForce GTX 970 for BF4 and GTA V. I'm considering building another machine with the newest Intel core i7 processor and an GTX1080. My current machine has a first generation i7. It's pretty old.

I'll probably pick up an RX 480 4GB model to personally test for virtual reality (with the Oculus Rift via Oculus Home software); its price-to-performance ($260 CAD vs GTX 970 for $430 CAD), if I can use it in my two planned demo station PCs, is quite good. I'll be waiting to see what the GTX 1060 brings to the table, though.
My personal PC is rocking a GTX 980 Ti, so I most likely won't upgrade that until next generation Volta GPUs in 2018 from Nvidia (at which point I'll build a new PC as well most likely for PCIe 4.0).

+1 for the R9 380 4GB currently. I have been very happy with it, but I'll probably go with the 1070 assuming I can find a sale around the holidays. I built a new rig with an i7--6700k, 32 GB RAM, SSD, etc. That R9 380 is really the weakest link in my rig at this point. I think the 1070 will be a better match for the rest of the hardware.
