I sent a form to UGC to make a 6v6 Silver team. Called the Six Pistols. I've got a regular from our servers and Eagle to at least give some sort of vocal promise to join the team. How many of you guys would be interested in seriously working on a comp team?

I would be interested, but I think having oversight from someone with previous experience would be vital in formulating a successful team.

j4zzy has played multiple seasons of both Iron and Steel.

Guys, the 6's meta is Pocket Soldier, Roamer Soldier, Scout, Scout, Medic, and Demo. Scouts are known to offclass in various situations. For example, when holding last, Heavy/Engi offclasses are common. Snipers and Spies are often used to break stalemates (though Snipers are really good when their aim is on point). It's not like matchmaking, either. There are class limits and weapon bans, probably the most notable being the QuickFix/Vaccinator ban, making Uber advantage more important and Kritz a whole separate, more aggressive strategy. I just felt like this needed to be said.

But you also need to understand you need subs...so saying you "got" something should be more like "the main medic" someone else then sub it...

I honestly think highlander would've been better since we have a lot of good classes of (pyro, sniper, engie, heavy, soldier, AND a lot of good spies, etc) So if you wanted to put that up as well...we'd find a lot more mains and subs...subs are very important

Not saying we don't have good soldiers and demos or scouts...but I don't know that many mains of those, and you'll be going up against people who play nothing but scout/demo etc

I also think try-outs should be held, don't give people a solid contract on classes yet

I'm down to play! Also I agree with Tea, highlander might be more accessible to everyone depending how many people are interested.

I'm glad a lot of people are interested in doing UGC/Competitive. I know quite a few people have asked me when we will get a team, but as I would always say, the team needs a dedicated person to lead it and make sure it's run right, and we never had anyone step up and I wasn't going to be able to do it, both because of DL time strain and that i have no official comp experience. I also didn't want to stretch out the division too much when we didn't have as many active members. Luckily a lot of new awesome people have come in so it's a possibility.

I can definitely hop in as a sub if needed, I will let members take starter spots though. If we can get a dedicated team to really put their all into it, leadership has no problem allowing you to take the official eGO team name. I'm sure our EGOpro team would love having an official community team to follow as well.

Also, I'm psyched to see that this has some sort of support around it. I'm getting some dedicated Google spreadsheets set up, I'm getting the UGC team page ready, and I have a friend of mine setting up some nice team logos.

I think we can do this.

Bee wants to sting people in a competitive manner! Plus bee's always wanted to be in a UGC team :3c

I'm happy to see this happen. 36 is right though you guys needs a good leader, it can be stressful from what I recall from a few years ago, some of my team mates made our leader scream at us during practice, it was scary times lol. Try to promise each other to not fight over silly things and remember there's a time and place for everything. This makes me happy considering a certain game has appeared and taken the spotlight away from my beloved Tf2 (I said it my beloved tf2) . Grumble grumble @ blizzard.
