Getting Into Paintball, Help Needed.

Holy cow. That's an expensive gun. You've just helped me decide not to be a real paintballer. I may take up digital paintball. I believe YoungMachete engages in this very painty sport, so you might want to seek him out for some advice.

That's a pretty nice paint-ball gun. At first glance I thought it was some form of shotgun!

As for help with what to buy I can't really help you. I've fought in a couple tourneys but I'm not that hardcore with it so I can't make any recommendations.

keep down when reloading
thats all i can say lol
and my friend has a 98 custom and its really nice so great choice on the gun

That much for a 98C..? An A5 can't cost anymore, and it's a great gun. The cyclone hopper is great, and a RT trigger makes for some crazy shooting, plus the whole gun breaks down via pull-pins so you can fix jams instantly on the front line when needed.

That's my gun, personally, plus a 16" dye boomstick, built to look like an m4a1 w/ a collapsible stock.

This a great site with everything you need to know :) http://www.specialopspaintball.com/

HPA (aka nitro....aka compressed air) is ALOT better than co2 but more expensive. Safer, lastes longer, and more consistancy per shot.

scope(sight): http://www.specialopspaintball.com/shop/product_detail.asp?SKU=251+0009&SEARCH=SCOPE

any hopper will do, unless you want it to deflect balls or load like 20+ balls per second

also i noticed you bought a "sniper" gun, sorry to break it, but there is no such thing as a sniper in paintball. BUT you can do alot of close range/concealed shooting and never get caught. You can also ghost flank but I'll allow this site do the talking http://www.specialopspaintball.com/positions/asn.asp

Why are you spending hundreds on first time hardware? Spend a hundred dollars and upgrade if paintball develops into a real passion (my $.02).

I already know there is no such thing as a sniper in paintball.
Hooked, good idea.
Well for sure I will just get the tippman pro 98 for 139.99$ to start with.

I have a completely decked out tippmann A-5....i swear it looks just like a frekin M16 16 inch barrel....scope...flashlight...250 frosted hopper...2, 20 OZ co2 tanks...shroud...electronic trigger with the following modes:semi, Full auto, 3 Ball Burst, Turbo, Auto Response.
needless to say it cost over $1000...luckly i wasnt the one who bought it.
Nice gun that you are getting...I would definatly use it as a sniper weapon....oh forgot to mention on thing bout my gun...it has a flatline barrel to

Glad to see more votes for the A5... it's a great gun. The 98c is great for the price, but you'll eventually need to upgrade again if you get more serious.

I got an A5 for sale, actually (insert shameless self-promotion here). Got it of an acquaintance when they couldn't pay their rent. Vanilla A5 (decent shape, a little bit of paintchipping near the barrel from paintball grease), expansion chamber, cyclone hopper, response trigger, dye boomstick. I have to get it rebuilt and resealed, though, as I haven't touched it in years.

Thanks guys
A5, great deal found, can you guys vouch for this?
