Auto Join

I know that there is this feature called auto join for servers. I've been searching throughout Google but I just can't find out how to use this. Could someone tell me how to use auto join? In the meantime I find myself constantly refreshing the steam window to see if there will eventually be a spot open for tonight's event!

and i think that if you click join in the mean time or click again auto-join, that you might lose your spot in the queue but it is nothing official. I would think it would affect it like when you queue for the cinema, leave and come back and lose your spot.

You can also hit auto-join on a server if it is full and then go and play in another server. Once a spot opens up, it will automatically connect you to the server that you are waiting to get into. Like if there is an event, you can just auto-join there and then go play 2fort while you are waiting.

You can be in a server and still have auto-join on...ie go into gravelpit and have dustbowl autojoin. You will still join dustbowl as soon as a slot frees up.

Pounding refresh with no abandon usually works after a minute or two, or you can just plan accordingly, and take a quick nap while waiting to join...

I just go into the Server Info and stare and a name and tell them to leave. Dosen't work that often though.

When you click auto join, select "join wen space is available" then LEAVE THE BOX OPEN and bring the find svrs infront. Choose another svr and it will pull you out when the one you wanted is free.

but it sometimes auto-join gets you to your desired server but if your computer/laptop is slow of loading, then someone might beat you there and ending up just getting "Server is full" and exiting one of the server you were in (if you were in one)

Or you could double up your chances and set it to auto-join and still mash your mouse button on Join Game. If you're willing to wait your repeated mashing will get you in before the others with auto-join on, but it can be frustratingly time consuming sometimes.
