I would say get into teamspeak into our Agent H.Q. and ask, I am sure there will be people who will answer any question you may have. In general, as alex said make sure to play all the way through the content to 30 unlocking all your wings. This will allow you to unlock all the abilities and you can choose what type of player you want to play as. The great thing about The Division is you don't have to get locked in to one player type at the beginning. Experiment and see how you like to play. Also, don't get discouraged in the dark zone everyone dies there a lot just keep plugging and there is fun to be had there especially in a group.
