2 Questions

1. Why does everyone hate Torbjorn, to the point where I was reported for playing him by my own teammate? I average when I play him either gold in elims or gold in damage for the team.

2. Why does every match have to have either a Genji or Hanzo or both?

He's hated because he's baseline good and his turret no skill locks onto anyone within a certain radius, making flanking impossible.

Hanzo has decent area denial and vision. Genji is decent harass.

Also for #1, I've seen an awful lot of people on payload maps using a Torbi while on offense for some reason. While (as stated) his turret can do some work on the defenders, it's not extremely viable and can be far better elsewhere.

/and Bastion also has the option of picking up and moving as well as self-repairing

1. Some people are starting to get a little edgy with the game and get mad if you don't fit their idea of a perfect team. Also as everyone said, the turret is a lack-skill add-on for torb, so if you beat out someone on your team for damage/kills they will get upset because torb "did nothing"

2.) hanzo (imo) is a better sniper than widowmaker due to the fact he can peek better and can do corner shots, as well as area vision every 20 secs or so. Genji is just a quick way to get behind enemy lines or stop the enemy from shooting in general. Also remember, not everyone likes to play McCree or Pharah and such. It's really just all player preference.
