video game recording software?

So there are plenty of times i wish i recorded games or kills on cod, battlefield and what not. anyone know any free downloads for such a thing?

if you have an nvidia card and the game is running fullscreen on directx, your best bet is shadowplay. you can still use shadowplay if the latter 2 aren't met, you would just have to record your desktop which sucks

Hi Bobbum Man,
So you're interested in recording software's I see! Well personally I used to record with Dxtory for more serious recording such as montage clips etc. Recently I've been using Plays.tv for recording, which is completely free! There are a few problems I run into while using Plays.tv however, I haven't been easily able to take the file and upload it via YouTube. A solution to that problem may be just enabling automatic upload to YouTube. Good luck on your adventure to finding a free yet simple recording software that isn't water marked! Let me know how it goes or if you went with my option!

Nvidia shadowplay or use playstv. I use playstv personally. Doesn't impact frames which you might consider knowing. Quality on the other is not the greatest. I record 1080 60fps 50mb bitrate and still looks weird when I upload it to my YouTube channel. So keep that in mind. Good luck finding what you want and have fun recording

Fraps has a knack of recording an enormous amount of data for a video. I used it but not all the time.

One of the main reasons why I don't really like using it anymore. Haven't heard about Dox or Play.tv before, might give em a try.
