Fellow =(eGO)= members, I can not stress the importance of having a head-set or mic to communicate with your fellow in-game admins.

That being said, it is very hard to communicate with the in-game admins, not everybody see's the admin chat in the heat of battle,or pay's that much attention to the chat log's.

A cheap no frills head-set may cost 14.95 to 19.95 at Wal-mart or any other of your favorite retail outlets.

It is very frustrating at best to see every rule infraction on a large busy server. Most admins already have a head-set or mic, so thank you . This post is not intended to point out anybody, it's for informational purposes and consideration.

We here at =(eGO)= have a very active admin base and very active Advisor's ,DL's & Community Manager..

Please everybody consider a cheap mic or head-set to facilitate better communication's. It makes our job as admins & representing =(eGO)= much easier.

The Definition of Communication ; Is the Understanding between Two or More People.

Thank You in advance, SwampFox5000

Although I do have a mic I do not use it in game nor am I in TS rooms very often. If I am it's usually empty. I simply cannot play the game with a room of people talking. I like to think I do everything I can to admin, but I will not let it take the fun out of gaming for me. Good info. Thanks for sharing.

Teamspeak aside, how do you even communicate to people using the mic in-game? I have never heard a player use the mic before in BF4 on our servers and I have been playing for like 3 weeks now.

To use the mic for squad chat it is the left alt key, again this only works for those in your squad

If you have squad chat turned on in game.

Thanks, people must just not use it, do they plan on having full team voice chat in BF1 or are they sticking to squad?

This will probably remain squad based, given that there would be too much chatter in-game if the entire team can communicate with each other. It also follows the lines of communications that Battlefield has followed since BF2; Commander communicates to squad leader, SL communicates to squad mates.

Chances are, people have microphones enabled in game, but do not use them. They are probably waiting for someone else to talk first. BF4 will do mic-detection for those that have mic's, they are represented by speaker icons by their IGN.

I understand what Swampfox5000 is talking about, and what he would like to happen:

- Using the "squad" mic in game is difficult at best; several people have pointed out good reasons
- Using TS3 during game:
------ If in the BF Hang Out Room; playing while others are talking about "whatever" can be distracting. I kinda like it, but sometimes I have been distracted enough to log out. My solution is to go to the game's TS3 room and play from there. And if issues come up during play, tell the other admins to TS3 in the room you are in. That mostly works. Then, within minutes you and the other admins are destroying others because you have built a good strong team that is communicating better than anyone else...using TS3.
I like TS3, and usually play while logged into the game room I am playing. Just waiting for someone to join my room. If anything so we can get on the same team and dominate.

But, I hear you Swamp, I will start being more proactive towards getting admins to communicate verbally instead of chatting.

I understand very well what you write and should be so we need to communicate this is like our second family. the idea is to have a good time on the servers ... better talking and meeting new people . Greetings .
i am new here . nice to meet you .

I have been in eGO TS3 server for some time now and I love to have a chat with all those nice eGO mates I encounter there during my time.

If I'm not in the mood to chat or hear other chatting, I don't go in. But mostly I enjoy the company of my eGO friends in TS3.
