Announcement Update Possible Today

So first some good news: Today was the first time in a week I have woken up and not found one of our servers offline. Lets hope that continues!

Basically everything points to today being the release date of the large TF2 summer update. Saturday they started the last MM beta test and said it was running until release, they have been releasing updates to prepare for a larger one, along with lots of other clues that indicated they were gearing up for it.

Hopefully there will be no contracts this time around to shunt people off to valve servers...there will just be matchmaking, to shunt people off to valve servers.

A couple days ago when communicating with someone on the TF2 team at Valve about a different issue, I tried to get some info about the update, but his lips were sealed.

Anyways, if it does release expect mid-late afternoon. Keep an eye out and help fill servers once it goes out!

In the meantime, what do you think the update holds?

For some reason I didn't think of this before: spycicle will now provide 100% protection from fire and does not melt. Dead ringer will now cause all players in 100 foot radius to explode. Heavy will get a choice of 2 new miniguns: one that shoots marshmallows at 10,000 rpm and the other that does pushback but -95% damage.

Regarding your first post, I don't think there will be contracts, not with MM coming out.
