So the other day BF4DB was auctioned off from the original owners, creators, developers and has been purchased by a new group going to make statistics and a new and improved site for bf4db. Here is the statement on their page:

Coming Soon

The new BF4DB is coming soon. We are excited for what?s to come and invite you to join our notification list (powered by MailChimp), where we?ll send out regular updates on the progress of the website. You can unsubscribe at anytime and your email will remain private and will not be sold, rented, or otherwise used. We?ll also be doing regular polls to determine what functions we should add. You?ll be the ones using the website, why not have the functionality you want?

We are planning on building a new Battlefield stats engine. Not just for Battlefield 4, but will encompass all Battlefield games, past, present, and future. However, there will be so much more to it than just statistics.

We are not affiliated with the original BF4DB development team, staff, or volunteers in any way and the new site will not have any ties to the original.

They have a countdown clock of 57 days currently so im thinking that is when the new site features will be available

Besides the Stats they are building a total anti cheat system- Anything that you all think could be incorporated?

Daily/Weekly stat divider. Allow us to see how much a player has progressed in an amount of time and allow us to spot any suspicious/obvious changes that might suggest cheating/hacking. Personally I think that'd be very helpful...

Thank you LBR i have suggested that to them. I have also asked them if they need us to test their anti cheat programs once up and still in contact with them to discuss the future of stats and anti cheat with BF4DB

Just as an FYI as well this is a totally new group of developers and moderators than the previous BF4DB admins. Right now other teams such as AOD and our clan have contacted them to develop for future programing

Make sure you tell them to get some measures in place so they don't get DDoS'd into oblivion like the BF4DB we remember.

:lol::lol:hehe another anti-cheat, for the anti-cheat,of the anti-cheat:thumbup1::thumbup1:

Update:

Development Newsletter # 1
Hello everyone!

Welcome to the first (although simple) development newsletter for BF4DB. While not a lot has transpired, I wanted to at least share some information as well as some of the plans, based on conversations we've had with others during the week.

First of all, I wanted to say THANK YOU to those of you who have signed up to this email list. I was genuinely shocked to see well over 200 sign-ups to the list as well as a good following on the Battlefield forums thread that was started for BF4DB. When we began working on this we didn't anticipate this much of a reaction. It's awesome! That means we'll be able to get even more feedback and hopefully get the final product into your hands faster. I know everyone wants an ETA, and I'll get to that later on in the email.

Over the past week, we've been reaching out to individuals via Twitter (our handle is @BattlefieldDB), and getting some thoughts on features they would like to see added to the website. Some of the ideas have been awesome including server lists with filtering (which we intend on adding), to even listing things such as how often an admin is online on any particular server. For those of you who haven't been keeping up with the thread, here's a quick list of some of the definites:

In-depth statistics with filtering for All Time, 90 Days, 60 Days, 30 Days, 7 Days, and Daily (daily is subject to change).
Server browser of servers added by Server Admins with server statistics and data such as percentage of uptime covered by Admins on a daily basis.
Robust and beefy Anti-Cheat system to ban those pesky Hackers. I'm sure a few of you are reading this, and trust me. We will find you, and we will ban you. :)
An extensive toolkit for Server Admins that will automate and integrate a lot of BF4DB's functions with the server and more.
Native iOS and Android apps to allow easy access to statistics as well as server administration.
Much much more.

As you can see, we already have a decent list of features that are being added, and there are even more that were not listed as they are still being conceptualized.

Right now, we are adding a few key players to our team before we continue. This mostly consists of development personnel. We've been asked about staff and volunteer positions and those will become available the closer we get. Also, as we get closer, we'll open the website up to allow a Q&A session, get feedback, and get sign ups for those communities interested in testing our systems. More on that in the coming weeks.

I'll leave it at that for our first development newsletter, please stay tuned for more in the coming weeks. I expect a newsletter to come every week unless otherwise specified. In the meantime, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit us up on Twitter at @BattlefieldDB or on the Battlefield Forums, or email us at [email protected].

Until next time,

Zero
