Counter-Strike: Global Offensive what are your best and worst trading stories in CS?

I one time was trading a butterfly for keys with some dude. I accidentally gave him the knife without any keys cuz I'm dumb. But he ended up giving the keys in a separate trade. Got pretty lucky!

Guy accepted a trade, butterfly fade for my Shadow daggers blue steel which i unboxed

Best: My friend gave me nine 5-10 cent skins for free to trade-up with and I used a single thirty cent skin from a then-new case. I got a MW skin worth like six bucks from the new case (go go 10% drop chance)
Worst: I've never traded anything valuable because I don't trust people :|

I once traded ?25 worth of skins to CSGO Wild (courtesy of Snuggle-Boo), won an all in pot to get ?50 and felt amazing ... got too greedy tried and tried to get more but ended up with nothing. Then i had no skins and felt like crap.

NEVER trade skins to gamble, you will always end up losing them in the end ...

I traded a cup of coffee for a m4a1-s hyper beast. I still regret it to this day.

Most of them are Trade Up Contracts... I think my last one was me going for a FN M4A1-S Nitro... 80% FN / 20% MW and of course it was MW...

I had others where it was a 90% chance to get something from the collection I wanted and somehow it ended up being something from that 10% I put in..

My best trade knife was a karambit ultraviolet FT, until Bo3 came out and sold it for that >_<

I got scammed of a $40 knife
Of course being the person who hasn't traded b4 I trusted what people said... lol.
Some guy said his hyper beast was one of the best in it's condition, and called in an "expert" at valuing skins. So rip knife, ended up with a $20 skin.

Let my best friend borrow some of my skins during my deployment. Amongst the skins were my Karambit Fade, my ST FT AWP Asiimov, my FT fire serpent, M4A1-S Icarus Fell, etc. Quite a few expensive skins I've acquired.

Well, long story short his mom found out I let him borrow the skins, she found out how valuable they really are, he got grounded for two weeks (he was 17 at the time) and I got my skins back.

I'm an awesome friend :)

Oh! I should mention the middle man scam. I was a victim of said scam. I knew it was a scam, had my roommate sitting next to me play as the middle man that the trader requested. After blatantly telling my roommate it was a scam, I asked for my skins back.

Well, he decided it would be cool to send the trade offer to the SCAMMER, and not ME. My roommate SENT the offer to the scammer. The scammer didn't even have to do anything. Mind you, this was before the whole mobile authentication/email confirmation business came about. I lost a factory new Glock Fade, three Falchion knives that I unboxed that evening and an AWP. But at the end of the day my roommate paid me cash for the skins I lost so I ended up making a profit off the knives I unboxed.
