Just wait until the gtx 1070 or 1080 come to mobile. Rumor is because of such low power consumption comparatively to previous generations, it won't be a "mobile" version, only slightly scaled down if at all.

August or September is the rumored release.

I can just imagine with the 1070 being mobile, you'll have an hour battery life with it... my Laptop gets 3-4 hours if everything possible is off, and I only use it for web surfing. but the VR Ready Laptops are just like that already.

I've never taken my laptop anywhere and used it that there wasn't somewhere to plug it in at to use it, but that's just me. Unless you take your laptop camping lol.

There are software/hardware protocols in place that will ramp down the energy used by the card. I imaging anyone gaming with it will have the thing plugged in.
