The use of the word "rape" in game

I saw a contest ban that turned my stomach, so I'm going to post here to bring attention to a problem. It is becoming more common in the gaming community to use "rape" in the place of "pwn" or "beat."

You may never have thought about the use of the term, but it's one that we don't allow on our servers. It's a warn, kick, ban, just as though they used the F bomb.

This is a word that should never be use casually. It references a violent sexual crime against women, and is used in game to indicate the humiliation, violence and dominance inherent in the crime. When I put it that way, I'm sure you'll agree, this is a filthy and unacceptable way to use the term.

Any decent person finds this crime both unthinkable and reprehensible, hence my very strong response to it. If any player wonders why we don't allow the term, please feel free to point them to this thread.

I'll lock it. I don't think it needs to be a sticky, it just needs to be a reminder. When people use a term used casually, they can sometimes forget what it references and allow it to become slang. This is reinforcement to prevent that.
