As some of you may have noticed, the convoy server was switched to convoy v2 around sometime yesterday (that is when i first noticed it). I'm just tryin to get a feel to see if you guys like convoy 1 or 2 better.
personally, i prefer version 1; i feel the tweaks in version 2 really take away from the "mood" of the original convoy. The new and larger "middle area" makes the map more of a "push/struggle" map, which is very un-convoy. Convoy is all about those home-run hits and frantic getaways, not "sixteen people gather in one room and shoot at one doorway." Plus the launch ramp is just another way to kill yourself on a map where its easy to kill yourself. However, i do like the sniper screens in the spawn area, but thats it.
What do you guys think?

), v1, to me, is the superior of the two. The placement of the middle bridge takes almost all the focus off the back end of the trains; it's now reduced to sniper campouts and being an alternate route for scouts that want to avoid all the chaos in the center. Secondly, those jump pads are horribly broken. I do like the idea of them, but they require some serious tweaking. Most of the time it'll fling me across and I'll drop right behind one of those sheets of metal, but sometimes it'll throw me to where I just barely catch the edge of the train. On occasion, though, it will decide to launch me a mile up into the air, which makes for about 4 seconds of prime sniper vulnerability, coupled with a crushing landing that assures I'm not going in with full health.
