Hey guys I have some questions about my cousins laptop. He and I wish to play some games that are only for windows together and he has a Macbook. First question, can I partition a section of the drive for Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, I also have Windows 7 Ult 64 bit (just curious if the version of Windows matter or not).
Next, his HDD has 120 GB of space on it, can I put Windows on an external HDD or does it need to be on the same drive as Mac OSX? If my cousin and I decided to go the route of using his current HDD for Windows, and he where to need the space for something else, would I have to reformat the whole drive to make the 2 partitions whole again? He has alot of saved pictures and music so I would not want to to harm that stuff.
Now how many GBs is Windows 10 Pro, and Windows 7 Ult? I would not want to take up a lot of space on his HDD (also games as you all know can be huge).
Well that's all the questions I have for now, thanks for any help given in advance!

Can I put Windows on another drive, say an external drive, and boot it from there?

I never recommend this. You are better off moving all your data to another drive.

That being said, his drive is VERY small. What Mac computer is he using? Year, specs, model, etc would definitely help out and give me an idea of what options he has.

Boot Camp is the easiest way to do a Windows installation on a Mac, by far. However it does not leave him much room for applications, or anything really.
