USB-C headphone jack

I've owned two phones with USB-C: A Nexus 6P and a Galaxy Note 7. I highly prefer type C over the old USB, especially since my MSI laptop has a USB-C port.

As long as you stay away from the rumored iPhone 7, you're fine. Most phones will still come with a proprietary 3.5mm jack. I'm eager to find out how they incorporate audio into USB C though.
 
I have never had that port before on any of my devices. I am going to be getting the Galaxy Note 7 which has the UCB-C port, its just another tech. I don't mind switching to that one once I get a new phone.
 
Just another Advance into the future haha. Ill cope with it as im gonna be getting the new note as well :)
 
I really hope this doesn't become a thing and try to phase out the regular jacks. It would lead to an insane amount of depreciated hardware out there.

The future is coming. More and more parts are coming with USB-C being used. And considering the first real use for USB-C being used was 2015, I'm not surprised that Macgyver never had that port before since it was only finalized in 2014. Not many phones used the new port in 2015, and I only seen it as a single port in most laptops just dipping their toe into the technology.
 
Note 7 is in the mail! Should see it within the next 10 days... super stoked! It'll be time to say goodbye to the ol' GS7 Edge soon...
