I am starting a petition to amend of COC to reinstate the no swearing rule to only allow Damn, Ass, Hell. and to reintroduce rooms in TS where Swearing is not allowed for children and others who do not wish to be around this kind of behavior.

We will not be amending or changing the rule. We understand that change is tough to adjust to but it will take time. I've said time and time again that the culture of our community and what we are about simply won't change overnight. You have to remember we have built a culture of gamers over ten years... you will never lose that. If you would like to discuss this topic further you should get in tune with your Division Leader in TeamSpeak.

As Steelbilly asked in my thread (which has had no response at this time), do DL's have the authority to circumvent the clan-wide policy changes? If not, why are we being redirected to our Division Leaders? So they can repeat the same things we have been told? I have already heard from a ComMgr that he himself cannot do anything to change this, so I have voiced my opinion on these forums to catch the attention of the higher-ups who could do something about it, not to be told by those higher-ups to consult people who have no say in the matter anyways.

Many of which joined because of our stance on profanity on our servers.

eGO has had the same language policy for 10 years now. Members of the community (or at least admins) should have been consulted about such a huge change before it was put into effect, especially if said change would not be open for any type of reconsideration after it was put in place. Not doing so was inconsiderate of the current player base.
 
I agree with misterboy. I have only been in eGO for 7 months but idk the cursing rule kinda made us stand out. A lot of younger children are probably allowed on our servers because their parents saw the No Cursing rule. Also, a lot of trolls who were toxic came onto our servers just because they are allowed to use profane language now and abuse the right too. They say it just because they can. Our servers (CS because thats where I play) are now even more toxic than ever
 
I appreciate everyone's opinion, but there is no need for a petition. The policy was discussed and implemented by the Community Management and Director team.

Going around badgering every single member of leadership is only going to foster and create unnecessary drama.
