As many of you may have noticed (Or not, I wouldn't be surprised ) I haven't been rather 'active' the past few.... weeks.... months?

As of September 10th, 2016 I'm going to be shifting from my 'home port' of Dundee to Newcastle (UK Cities... remember!) to commence training as a Deck Officer Cadet. The 'course' itself is roughly 3 years, and after attaining my CoC (Certificate of Competency) I should hopefully be taken on by my employer/sponsoring company as a Junior Deck Officer, with opportunity to 'rank up' to 3rd Deck Officer!

As a result, my activity will be few and far between due to a) College internet restrictions/filters b) Ship-Based internet. Go figure.

But anyways... Like Father. Like Son. (Photo of my dad when he was in the RNR- Royal Navy Reserve).

And of course... 'Dress Uniform' (Buttons are presently being swapped over to Gold/Brass Merchant Navy Buttons).

Of course, I'll likely be on/off the forums and whatnot. So it's not as if I'm dissappearing outright. (I know, sorry lads... and ladettes).

the night life in Newcastle is one of the best in the world (apparently) ... good luck and enjoy :)

Appreciate your dedication to the Navy, your country, and eGO! Lots of respect for you Navy guys.

Pssstt it's "Merchant Navy". Nothing to do with grey warships and guns.

I'll be serving on Tankers in the Carribean/Central Americas hopefully! :w00t:

Oh... Well still. Thats not an easy job. Everytime I go out into open sea I usually blow chunks (normally only on a 30-40 ft boat) but on those tankers its gotta be nice ride.
