Battlefield 4 Starting to play

I'm starting to play battlefield and would like to get to know the rules better, I read through the pinned threads and am a bit confused on some stuff.
What is UnCap? How do I get the info for the pinned eGO members thread (is it this?)? Is there a thread for all the banned areas on the map?
I played a lot of battlefield 3 on the console so I'm new to all of the information that I can get for the computer.

Hey elwoodnet and welcome to the BF Division.

Firstly, the uncap is the incapable are of the map. In other words, the enemy spawn area.

Not quite sure what you mean by "pinned eGO members threads" but I'm sure someone else here does and will help you with that one.

Now after reading the rules you should have seen a rule stating "Do not use the red zone to advance." When in a game of BF, press the "M" key and a map will appear and you will notice a red border around the map. That is the red zone. My advice, never enter it at all for any reason, it can save a lot of arguments with other public players.

Of course there are maps that have glitch spots/advantage points that we do not allow but you can always ask a member of leadership to confirm the area for you if you have any issues.

Remember, if you have to glitch your way into it...don't do it!

I plan on starting up battlefield too so this is helpful info, thanks for this thread elwood! And thanks to LBr for clearing things up

It is a lot more simpler than it sounds. If you ever go out of bounds your screen will change color and it will give you 10 or so seconds to turn around before killing you. Never try to use that 10 seconds to reach another spot. You may end up unwillingly out of bounds because you were a passenger in a chopper and it went down. Try to run back to the map before it kills you.

Just as a refresher, if you need a quick summary in-game you can type "!rules" in chat on any of our BF4 servers to display the rules. Also if you see an [eG] or [eGO] admin on the servers, and you would like to privately message them about something you can type in "/ad your message" in chat to send them a private message.

Maybe when you aren't on, you are death and I don't want to come to you , I think this Thursday I will join TS and hang out with you guys a bit. I miss my BF days.
