How to have Ventrillo output to different sources?

I heard this was possible.

This is my setup.

I have a Soundblaster Fa1tality or whatever as an add-on-pci card.

That has my Desktop speakers plugged into it.

I also have the built-in-onboard sound with my Evga 780i Motherboard.

I would like, to have ventrillo output the voices onto my 780i's onboard sound.

Why? My speakers on my desktop are for gaming. I use a logitech headphone with a boom mike attached to it. I would like to hear ventrillo on my Headset, instead of on the desktop speakers.

Set the input device on vent as your motherboard sound (probably listed as Realtek), and plug your headphones into the motherboard jack. Set your in-game settings to use your creative labs card (should be default) and plug in your speakers and microphone into the card. I do this as well when I use speakers to listen to music when I play when nobody is home

You can actually set them independently so you don't have to sacrifice your mic quality by using the on-board sound.

Just go to Setup and look at the top right for Input Device and Output Device. Just set Output to on-board sound.

No, output is your mic. That is why I said to only change the input, which is what you are hearing

Uh, input is for information going to the computer, output is information going from the computer (and, usually, to the user).

You may be confused with inbound and outbound. Inbound is the term for information coming to the computer or user from an outside source, such as over the internet. This is why turning up the "inbound" amplifier on Ventrilo will make what you hear louder; everyone else's voice are "inbound" signals, but you're hearing them from output (your speakers).
