Are we going to see Sunsettown back anytime soon?

It has great, quick play, and I think if people knew what it was, it would be full all the time. It was a bit laggy, but so's convoy. You will absolutely see it on scrims because it is a fast play map.

too be honest i dont really like custom maps because of the lag problems that they have but sunset was a purty good map and so is convoy and cave...wait i like em all...lol i dont care either way i dont play em much basically only when there is no admin on or if i am needed there

I agree about the lag issues (though it's actually a framerate issue if you want to get technical), however Sunsettown was quickly becoming my most played map next to Dustbowl. I've actually found myself playing less since we took it down. I really hope to see it make a comeback.

Yeah, I loved this map. It was so much fun! I wasn't really playing on our other servers since we got sunsettown ( or blackmesa alpha :/ ). Now that it is gone I'm playing the other maps again but I don't really like cave5 that much.
I want sunsettown back!

The one way doors was a genius concept, but the rest of the map needed work. =\ Too big and clunky.

Hah, i think me and captain calle have the same taste in maps... or at least in map threads! I liked sunsettown because it was small and fast, without the huge 30min standoffs seen in other maps. You could break a base yourself if you really had to, and that makes everyone else work together harder.

Dustbowl has been my long time favorite, but ever since we got sunset town I found myself always picking that server even over dustbowl. I loved the fast action and the different strategies you could use. I hope to see it come back soon!

ya thanks guys this thread made me happy. Well, i dont know whats going to happen yet :\ but myself, nighthawk, darkea, and another person from my <CC>< clan are working on that lag problem.

ive also talked to Garden and he is interested in the map once we have finished and hopefully fixed the lag problem. but i still dont know if its just going to be used in scrims or if its going to be put back up on a server.

and also, monkey, one of the reasons i think it was on average always busy, but not quite full, was because of the lag, once it got full with 32 people the lag got pretty bad, so hopefully the newer version will fix that

well when it was up it was my favorite map by far. every class was balanced on the map, and i could finally play spy and not die every 25 seconds.

i think we should ditch convoy and put sunset up instead
