Am I missing something here?

Ok I know I don't post a lot but believe it or not I use to run a clan years ago and I used to be a forum junkie, so much that it affected my work (yes I am self-employed), my marriage (yes also married, sorry ladies) and my life.

I see a lot of activity here on these forums and can't seem to realize the following:

1. Who owns the clan?

2. Who pays for the servers or the bills in general?

3. If eGO is sponsored by private companies, what do they get in return?

4. Who is the man when it comes to getting all the pieces working together? (I mean tech stuff)

5. Are there any other servers to play TF2 other than 2FORT that I haven't been in...?

6. how many official members are there in eGO? (I mean eG and up)

7. how old are the youngest and oldest members here?

8. Were are you all from?





If you can answer these questions I may be able to understand the clan a bit, now if there is anything I can do besides donating money (promised the wife I would not spend money on clans again) let me know...thanks guys

1. In reality, we all do, but they are headed by our Community Managers. JohnT, Artimus, and Kendle

2. Community Managers and anyone who donates.

3. Just good 'ol advertising their product.

5. Dustbowl, Gravel Pit, Warpath, Convoy, and Cave5/Sunsettown/Future Goldrush. We also have DoD and CS:S servers

6. Too many, (Hundreds, possibly thousands)

7. Youngest...about 13, and oldest, about 58

8. All over the place. U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, South America, etc.

And you don't have to donate money at all to be in eGO, just help out, and donate your time playing and checking out the forums.

3. Part of the ad's are money per click, others they just gain revenue from the influx of 3000+ members on to their sites.

5. Yes. There are a bunch of DODS and CSS as well as Call Of Duty 4 servers. Our servers are on the right side of our webpage when you scroll down. You can find the others through www.edgegamers.us and www.edgegamers.net (DODS and CSS/CoD4 respectively)

6. The totals are being revised as you can see on the roster. A council member might have the exact number.

7. You would have to ask around, personally I am 19.

8. From around the world buddy. The US, Europe, Australia, Korea, etc...

Well I wrote a loooong reply, but pressed the wrong button and lost it...

main points were...

1. I love it here (no drama)

2. Excellent job you guys are doing

3. No bad words is an excellent policy (specially when my 5yr old loves to watch me play, plug: future eGO member)

4. I know what it takes to get things running right and it is not easy, props to the guys behind the scenes.

5. I am making myself comfortable here, I need to get me a sig or maybe design one.

Just a note, if you didn't notice by now, all the server info is listed on the left-hand side of this page. Also, if you look through the forums you should find info on how to get a sig that lists your stats for all the eGO servers (like the one I'm using below). Oh, and I should have said this first: Welcome!!!
