Guys i have recently bought an apple product and it had mac osx.i cant download custom maps at all.i have tried using all the console commands,tried reinstalling steam and csgo but it doesnt work.can anyone pls help me in fixing this prblm...any idea pls comment. Tx

I have a macbook as well as my windows desktop. You have to google the exact command to put into terminal that will take you to the main folder of the game, once there you'll see a maps folder to copy and paste your downloaded map into it.. I did it with CSGO. I think another option is if you have the game in your applications folder you can get to the main folder that way too
 
I'm fairly sure there is a setting in the options for the game that allow downloading custom maps/sounds etc
 
There is a map on the CS:GO TTT server called Clue I believe, that map does not automatically download for me. I have been too lazy to go do it the hard way. All you have to do is google whatever map you are wanting and put the bsp file into your maps folder.
 
If none of the things above help the drastic thing to do is get a program called boot camp that will split your hard drive between OSX and windows and you choose what OS to load into on start up, I know someone that uses it and they say it works well.
