Today is a bittersweet day. Today we mark the passing of a cherished friend. Someone we cared about deeply, someone who brought to us something we continue to love. Without our friend?s hard work setting the foundation we would not have much of what we love. But sadly that friend grew old, and tired. He wasn?t able to keep up with the world as it changed and grew around him. He began to fade, and tragedy struck. He was sent away for a time of rest. He came back to us weakened, and despite efforts could not find his footing again. So it is with sadness I must today tell you of the passing of our dear friend and companion, 2Fort.
His passing is not the end though for his memories will live on forever in our hearts. With the bitter now passed, we come to the sweet. It is my great pleasure to announce that 2Fort does not leave us alone without hope. Today we gain a new friend, a new challenge.
Today we gain Badwater Basin. This new friend comes from an unknown land to many and yet so familiar to others. No longer do we merely steal or capture. No longer do we focus on a single unmoving point. Now we push and challenge. We move to parry counter attacks from different directions. We are no longer static forced into the same positions time and time again. We are no longer trapped in vents or dodging through tunnels. We move with speed and knowledge. We see change and must adapt. We must push to destroy our foes and defend and protect.
Today, we have a payload to deliver.
