Tech Help hard drive help

Ok guys and gals need some help, i kept getting error on hard drive so i went out and bought a new 1 and cloned it off the old one,

but now i wanna restore old one to use just fore storage but when i connect it up the computer reads that hd not the new one gone into bios and thought i switched boot up but still reading old one so is there a way i can do this wanted to do complete restore on both and start over also can i get some help please........

Go back into your BIOS and try again. Perhaps you made a mistake. You could also get an USB to SATA or USB hard drive enclosure and plug it in after boot to clear it off from there.

If you were previously getting errors using that hard drive though, I would not continue using it

This is usually a SMART error.. Meaning the old drive is failing a SMART test, as it has failed and is no longer usable. I would remove it from your machine completely.

I would highly advise against it. If you were having errors before and getting this now, storing anything would just end in data loss.

Agreed. That drive is no longer good and shouldn't be used.

lol what you have a hard drive on port 2? most, if not all, hard drives should be on port 0 or port 1
