Battlefield 1 What We Can Do Without BF1 Servers

Since we currently can't set up our own servers for BF1, we need to be creative with ways to "support" the game. First of all, we need to play together. Get in TS and join on your eGO Origin friends.

Second, read THIS THREAD by Binary about Autohotkey. I've been using it with game chat to promote eGO with ads such as, "This is more fun in TeamSpeak. Join ts3.edge-gamers.com" and "We are giving away a $50 VISA gift card. Visit Edge-Gamers.com for details."

Be creative. If EA won't let us run our own servers, we'll use whatever we can to get the eGO word out.

This is a great idea, and I'm going to change a few of my binds to send this out every so often. It's a good way to recruit new members, and also bring people into TS! We should definitely do this until Dice makes a decision about what to do as far as Dedicated Servers go. Let's try to keep the community together, even if we can't admin our own servers just yet.

Although dedicated servers are not yet available, there are certain groups/companies that do have their own servers, e.g The popular YouTube Channel "Rooster Teeth" and i believe "Neebs Gaming".

There is a chance to get servers out there but I believe they are for promotional purposes only. We have had ties and relations with DICE in the past so if we can get a hold of a regular DICE member on our BF4 servers and try to private message them. Perhaps we can get early access/first orders on the release of the Dedicated Servers.

Nonetheless, Auto-Hotkey is a great way to promote eGO. Once I BF1 comes down in price and I get my AMD R9 480, and rid of my GTX 970, and be able to run BF1 at 60FPS... i'll all be for promoting eGO and recruiting new members!

JohnT had sent Dice a really nice swag package. Maybe he could pull a few strings and get an EGO branded DICE server for us! That swag package was really nice, I figure they owe us one.

Any word on clan tags for BF1? It would be much easier to rally others to our cause if they saw a few squads with eGO tags.

Let's not lose sight of the original purpose of this thread. If everyone would use autohotkey to advert eGO we could bring in lots of recruits from BF1.

What was our somewhat regular DICE player, Starfox/Starscream Starsomething. If those still on BF4 can keep an eye out for him that would be a start.

There are many avenues for advertising as said including using the macro keys or hotkeys on your keyboard for text chat. Those are not detected as spam or cheats so they can be used according to advertise in servers. Private servers or clan servers we cannot do that on but i wouldnt see why we couldnt from the EA servers. With the games we do have we always have the MOTD and our dedicated supporter messages to use as well sometimes to advertise. We can also post general discussion boards that offer recruiting for bf1 and bf4

I definitely like the idea of that Artimus! Autohotkey is a great idea to get the word out in chat!
