Upgrading my PC this weekend

Just got 2 1TB ssd's that I'm gonna move my system on to.

Gonna reinstall Windows so not sure I'm gonna make it on much this weekend.

I work for the company that makes them so I got a rockstar deal $300 for the pair.

I have 1 500GB now and 2 1TB 10k RPM drives

So I am removing these and just going to the 2TB SSD total.

Makes sense! I remember years ago before SSDs were commonplace, a friend of mine did a RAID setup with 2 x 10k RPM drives, i think around 120GB a piece and used that to get close to SSD speeds haha. I rarely see anyone using them now though.

ya I hear ya. On these sata6GB ssd's I'm getting 1GB/s read/write and 500MB random
