Bad Company 2 Failed Connection

I am getting an error, failed to connect to EA server. I know I have had this before, but cant remember what I did to fix. or is it an EA issue

I typed the error message wrong, thanks for the catch FireHazzard...it is Failed to connect to EA online.

I've had a similar one before that wasn't due to the servers being down so thought I'd ask
