A personal thank you to the eGO clan.

It's been approximately 3 or so months since I've joined the eGO community and haven't regreted it since. Having been swamped with work and other personal things, until a couple of weeks ago I haven't been able to play games or do many things of leisure. But in those few weeks I have truly had a wonderful time on the servers and forums. As I said when I first joined I'm not very social, but I have been around on the side lines reading post and what not and getting to know some of those in this clan. Your tech support threads have helped me in numerous ways and your promotion of dignity, teamwork, and respect have brought a gaming experience that even Valve did not comprehend. With the exception of this, I am a man of few words and just needed to tell all the members of this group that no matter how much hatred they get from those who do not understand the meaning of quality, family-friendly gaming, you are all truly mature people who have their heads on straight and at the same time are the exact opposite of stiffs. Thanks for the experience and the reassurance that there are those out there that have a similar frame of mind.

We are very glad you like our server Sticky. The fact you take time out of your short time of leisure to tell us your views on our community is just a great jesture in my opinion. Having been addicted to Cave5 until Gold Rush comes out, i might have to jump in Dustbowl from time to time to enjoy a nice game of TF2 with you.

I think the sheer numbers of this clan speak for itself. We have a lot of highly intelligent and mature people and that's amazing to me. I've done some competitive play in the past, but always quit b/c the gameplay turned from hardcore and fun to a somewhat raged and ignorant slaughterfest, with people fighting and arguing constantly. A lot of people complain about the lack of the ability to cuss, but to me that's how you cut down on the immaturity of the servers, and eGO has got it right. I like being able to all day everyday jump on a server and not have to worry about somebody cussing out somebody else. It just doesn't happen. A majority of the conversations are between people telling jokes. I dig it. My life has enough stress with college, family, work, and the ole GF. I love the environment and I love being able to relax doing something I love, which is playing games. I've loved every minute of it my eGO brothers and sisters and I hope to keep contributing on the servers and someday do some serious writing for the site or whatever else I can do to help this clan grow.

I agree with everything that is said above. I work a high stress job, attend nursing school, and have two kids. The hours I get away to play games should be fun and not stressful, and eGO definitely provides that. I love that I can hop onto a server, even if just for 45 minutes or so, and relax and have fun. There's not that punk competitiveness that ruins the fun on a lot of online video games, where if you aren't the best player (I am FAR from the best...) you get chewed out. Everyone on the eGO servers just seems to be there to have fun, and if you do well while doing it, mores the better!
