Setting up streaming/youtube recording

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me out? I have some questions about streaming and recording high-quality video for youtube. This also includes editing, so I don't know how that would change the hardware setup. Anyway my first question is what is everything I need to record/stream on a PC and old consoles as well as next-gen ones?
As far as I have gathered I need a capture card for the consoles. I was looking at the Elgato HD60 S for the consoles. I know that I can use O.B.S. (Open Broadcasting System) for the PC. I have also heard of people that use two PCs, one for playing the game, and one for the game capture or stream. From what I have heard this prevents the recording software from bogging down the game you are playing. I am fairly certain that this is mostly for competitive online gamers but it may be useful if I get really into this youtube/streaming stuff. Also how would using the Elgato HD60 Pro be different from using software like O.B.S.?
So for voice capture I need a mic that will not pick up any ambient noise because my house is really loud. I was looking at the Rode Broadcaster, but it is really expensive, some alternatives would be nice.
So for the PC gaming side, if I decided to go with the two PC setup with the Elgato HD60 S capture card used to record the game I am playing, what PC would need to have better hardware? The one that is playing the game, or the one that is capturing and doing the editing on?
I don't know if one of you guys knows all the info I need, but it would be cool if any of you could share what you know! Thanks for any help in advance!

For streaming/recording on a pc you just need a program such as obs. For consoles you need something along the line of an elgato or something similar. Using 2 pcs can be done if u have the money to spend on it but one good pc will be just fine. I didn't look at how much the mic u where looking at is but the at2020 USB is good, same with a blue snowball, or a yeti. For recording with a 2nd pc you really need ok parts not the top of the line but up there parts. Personally instead of buying a 2nd pc just upgrade ur main rig.

Hey Hunter thanks for the input. I don't want to spend money where it's not needed so I definitely wont buy another PC. Anyone have any ideas on good free video editing software?

You'll need a capture card for consoles. Hauppage and Elgato make these products. You can definitely find them cheaper used on local classifieds.

For recording with your PC, what video card do you have? Nvidia's Shadowplay works awesome for recording.

I'll have to see what others say for software, I use Adobe Premiere/Avid Media Composer which are paid products

Uhhh that isn't really my thing Ill ask around with a few of my friends. I can always suggest sony vegas pro's free trial
