I bought an AMD ATI Radeon HD 7670 4GB DDR5 128Bit Graphics Card on Cyber Monday for a good price. Overall, it's working better than my previous card, an ASUS ENGTX560. The problem is I've been having some strange glitches and crashes across multiple applications. I can't tell if there's something wrong with the card itself, or if it's a driver error, or what.
TF2 works well most of the time, but every so often I'll launch it and a strange graphical glitch will occur, when some images from the middle of the screen will momentarily blink up over the top-left of the screen. Then it'll cause a static-y snow pattern in multiple colors. The first time I encountered this, I closed the process through task manager, but the entire computer background had become the static pattern by then. Also my keyboard wouldn't respond and clicking my desktop icons did nothing.
On Path of Exile, it runs without a hitch until about 15 seconds after logging in and moving a character to a zone with enemies. Then the screen will start lagging, go black, and freeze up. Occasionally this is accompanied by an error message which closes so fast I can't read it.
Age of Conan will either give me a "dxgi_error_device_removed" error after logging into a character, or it'll wait until after I've been playing a couple of minutes. I'm getting about 15 FPS on the highest graphics settings, and about 35-40 on the lowest, but I'm pretty sure I was getting better FPS than either of those on medium-high settings with my old card. Then it'll crash and give me that error.
Other computer info: tri-core AMD Athlon2 3.10 ghz CPU, 8 gigs ram, 64-bit windows 10.
Any advice? I've been looking around the web and have found a bunch of stuff, but nothing too definitive yet.
