Rocket league has had a pretty big update, which you may or may not know about, including new maps, DLC, Champions Crate IV and the release of this years Christmas themed stuff ...

Patch notes -

THE HEADLINES
Custom Training has been added on all platforms.

Players can now set Arena Preferences on all online Playlists.

"Champions Crate IV" can now be found rarely after online matches.

The "Gizmo" and "X-Devil" Battle-Cars have received a visual upgrade.

Steam Workshop support has been added for map creation on PC.

Color Blind support has been added.

Tried it out yesterday. I liked the patch notes up until I saw this:

All active Rocket Labs maps have been added to Casual Playlists

Double Goal has been re-added to the active Labs map pool in all Casual Playlists..

I'm sorry, but I absolutely hate this. There's a reason the Rocket Lab playlist had a low number of people playing it - because the maps pretty much sucked, and there didn't seem to be any progress on the maps whatsoever aside from when they were fully released (Such as Tokyo, ARC, and I think Wasteland & Aquadome were apart of it as well..can't remember though)

That and only having 2 dislike/downvote map-preferences while having 4 Like/approve votes...?

That aside, interested in seeing how the workshop integration & custom training works out.

The like/dislike system is a complete and utter joke. My preferences shouldn't be taken into consideration AFTER joining a server, they should impact the search BEFORE it matches me. I disliked both Neo Tokyo and the new Starbase ARC map (which, by the way, is a terrible map and like Neo Tokyo should not have been integrated with normal maps). That same night, I played Starbase 3 times and Neo Tokyo twice. What's the point of having set preferences if the game ignores them anyways?

I'm pretty much indifferent on adding non-standard maps to casual playlists. They don't affect any sort of rank. But when non-standard maps are added to competitive playlists, they screw up the whole flow and make it a pain in the ass to adapt. Everything else in the update is pretty cool (besides the fact that some people are apparently losing their setting preferences/custom car loadouts, something I was lucky enough to avoid).

Not sure how many eGO members play Rocket League but I'm always down to play with new people

I'm liking the update. It's not bad but Rocket Labs is meh.. Never been a fan of it. Just give me the basic maps lol
