There is now word that the Steam Winter Sale will run from 12/22/16 to 01/02/17. The thread has been updated to reflect these estimated dates. Another set day has been added for donor PMs being sent out: today 12/20/16. Thanks for the donations and keep an eye out for the sale starting!

Today the Steam sale starts and as previously mentioned, some games cannot be purchased and stored in your inventory for later delivery.
However, now is the perfect time to pledge a game you see on sale; you simply purchase the game after someone claims it and give it directly to the recipient during checkout (we'll try to send PMs out more frequently during the Steam sale to notify donors).
A big plus to pledging a game from the Steam sale is that if no one claims a game you pledged, you don’t actually have to buy it. But please, if you pledge a game make sure you can buy it and delivery it by the end of the Steam sale (January 2nd).
