Gaming Headset

Well it finally happened. My 4 year old Corsair headset bit the dust.

What I'm looking for is a good all around headset for gaming, movies, music etc.

Something right around 100 dollars is my price point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I can agree. These are very solid headphones. Comfortable (with glasses too) they convert into awesome headphones on the go or while travelling. Dropped them a few times from the desk and no signs of breakage after almost a year. Definitely would but these again.

Wired I use the Logitech G35. If you are going wireless, might i suggest the Logitech G933 Artemus Spectrum. Soviet_Pilots uses that one I believe and praises it a lot.

I too am in the Logitech camp on this one.
I've had a G930, a G35 and am now using a G430.
Love the sound quality whatever I may be doing.

Only con I have with these headsets (G35/G430)is the swivels that connect the ear-cups to the headband. They are the weakest link, so if you're clumsy and drop them or snag the cord when you get up and walk off, it can be disastrous.

The G930 had this problem also and they did have a run a long time ago that had bad solder joints on the charge port, a little bit of stress on the cord when charging and it would lose connection with the board inside the ear-cup. I imagine they fixed this on the newer version.

These are hands down the best headsets in that price range. Amazing sound which is the most important part with a mic that can do its job.

Unless you are willing to spend a bit more or a decent chunk more, I'm running this set up which is just amazing sound wise and mic wise.

This is the main reason I can never recommend the "high end" Logitech headset. Had the 930 and was nothing but problems, even after returning them and getting a new pair sent, ended up doing a better self fix but in the end they just plan sucked for the price you pay. Such crap build quality at the $100 price range.

If you want to spend $30 bucks for a headset go for the cheap G series one. Hard to beat that bang for buck at that price range, but if you are willing to spend $100+ go read some legit reviews from reputable sources and some good headsets or just really good headphones and add a clip on mic.

Hey HaulBoss!

As much as I love my g430's I think I would have liked to spend the extra $50 to get the logitech Artemis Spectrum. They work great and match my RGB based gaming setup. For an extra $100 you can get the wireless addition in which I have, and they have close to no delay. Hope this helps!
