Counter-Strike Members,
I know things have been relatively chaotic the past few days and there is a lot of confusion and uncertainty still. I want to do my best and clearing everything up and ensuring you that the future of Counter-Strike: Source and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will continue down the right path.
Late in the night Sunday the Counter-Strike Leadership staff (Community Manager, Division Leaders, Advisors) informed the Community Management team of their intentions to step down from their positions effective January 1, citing real life circumstances and current situations in Leadership as reason for their departure. After a Directors meeting and the events that transpired following the announcement our Board of Directors felt it was best to move them out of their Leadership ranks at the current time versus January 1. We want to thank and recognize them for the services they provided over the past few years.
With all of the changes the Community Management and Board of Directors teams will be stepping in planning out the future of Counter-Strike: Source and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. I will be stepping in as current Community Management representative for Counter-Strike and will be building a new team of leaders responsible for the division in the coming days and weeks. As always we will rely on veteran Counter-Strike members to help steer the division in the right direction. Anyone who holds current responsibilities in the form of Event Coordination, Admin Training, and Recruitment and would like to continue with those responsibilities should sit down with me in TeamSpeak as soon as possible. I will be available each morning / evening time in the Counter-Strike rooms. Feel free to jump in and chat with me at any time.
The final thing I have to say is that anyone who feels that Counter-Strike will be closing or coming to an end, they couldn't be any more wrong. Counter-Strike has always been one of the largest aspects of our community and will continue to be in the new year. Anyone who wants to spread negativity or drama will quickly find their way out. If you play stupid games you are going to win stupid prizes.
