yes, and its such a cop-out gift.
Absolutely zero thought went into giving someone a gift card.
I know this can be argued with "Oh, I didn't know what to get them, but I know they like this particular store or restaurant." B.S., call them, talk to them on a regular basis, get to know them and find out their likes and dislikes.
Am I salty? Yeah, a bit. I got an Armitron watch from my mom and stepdad... and though this wasn't a gift card, had they called once in a while and just chatted with me, they'd know I don't wear watches... at all.
I feel like the only gift card that is worth it would be an Amazon.com gift card.. because you can apply it to your account, and buy anything else you want from Amazon, including other gift cards to a store you'd actually shop at. lol
