Tech Help Dual Monitors 1 DVI Port

I just purchased a GTX 1080 for myself. I have also purchased a new monitor. The 1080 only has 1 DVI port and the monitor does not support DisplayPort. I was thinking about purchasing the same monitor again so I can browse the internet while playing games. I was thinking about just plugging in the second monitor to the motherboard since I won't use the second monitor for gaming. I have read from some articles that plugging the second monitor into the motherboard will cause heating problems and such. I was wondering if anyone new a solution to use two monitors with 1 DVI port from my graphics card. Thanks!

So rather than plugging into the motherboard, just get an adapter that lets you plug in DVI into the card's other ports.

Once you use a dedicated graphics card, the onboard GPU will be disabled. Just grab yourself an adapter to one of the other connections, and you will be good to go.

cant use onboard once you have a dedicated just get a 3.99 adapter

Or you could just use HDMI if it's just web browsing.

I use HDMI for one and DVI for the other I believe.
