I just don't get it. It's not going to help alot. The Medic knows you want medical attention and others need it too, So why bother spamming 9000 times and then get healed AND NOT SAY THANKS !!! (That "grinds my gears") What's even WORSE is what if there is NO MEDICS ??? Flooding the server with spam is what. -_-
Please, use MEDIC in moderation :D. (And thanks to Valve's "Anti-Voice Repeat" Thing)

well alot of ppl dont say thanks because one of two reasons:
1)they dont have a key binded to that key and they dont know which button to push/dont have time because are in a big fight
2)because they dont think they have too because after the medic finishes healing them the character automatically says thanks
I can see where you are coming from though i mean i have been on servers that have no medic and nobody wants to be one so i go one...i mean i would like ppl to be thankful that they have a few more minutes to live because you saved their life...i am goin to be honest and dont always say thanks in voice chat because i am usually in battle and dont have that key binded (if i am not busy at that moment then i will use it though) I usually say thanks over the mic just in case they dont see it on the screen also. I am eventually goin to get my keys binded, but not until i find out what caused my admin key binds to stop workin....(btw they are fixed now)

I disagree with this somewhat. Yelling medic is somewhat like Marco Polo. If you are in the vicinity of the medic, he can find you quite easily if you continue to yell Medic. Often, in the fray of battle, for those of us who dont use mics, we cant say thanks. I personally have no problem with people yelling medic, if they really want/need one.

Face it: Some people are just like that. And most of the time I see it spammed is right after a pyro goes through, and being on fire kinda makes people a big urgent about it. I do get mad at heavies/soldiers that spam 'medic' the instant they spawn and don't seem to understand that my job isn't to keep them alive, it's to keep everyone alive. I always try to say thanks over voice chat, but a lot of times I'm a scout and am just picking up a quick 50hp so that I can go back and help defend a point, which doesn't leave me much time to say thanks.

Normally, if I call for a medic I'll wait 5 seconds or so till I call again, so that I'll keep the medic way point to myself. But if I'm on fire and have 20 hp left, you can bet I'll mash that E button has fast as I can. But people who mash it when they're still high are annoying. They think you have nothing better to do then heal them.

I never intentionally hit the medic button. If you ever see me do it, it was a complete accident. :)

If you spam "Medic" I am less likely to help you. Once is enough, I know your need. However there are most likely others around who need healing too. So just hold back and I'll get to you. Do try to understand that when the entire team is in the hallways on Warpath it is hard to lock-on to those who are calling. Just be patient and we'll get to you.

I spam "Medic" as a medic to notify people that I'm on my way to the front lines. Right after spawning I'll often hear a heavy cry for a medic, and I say it as the equivalent of Marco Polo to let them know that I'm at least nearby.

I only spam medic when there's an idiot medic latched onto a fully buffed heavy, and I'm on fire, dying.

He usually ignores me and sticks with his heavy.

most of em do that because they want an uber charge, but something some medics fail to realize is that building an uber is faster when you are actually giving health points rather than just topping it off

I hate if when I'm waiting out a pyro attack in the spawn with an ubercharge ready and people sit in front of me and spam medic...
So I uber an engineer/sniper/spy/scout just to get them to shut up :v

Also I don't hit the medic button when I'm dying/hurt, I prefer to die in silence but if I get healed it's always appreciated.

But when I'm playing a cooperative game of uber the enemy spy with |NightHawk| the medic button comes to use..

Alright, here is the deal:

If you play full time medic it is because of those 2 reasons:
1) You like it because you get to help everybody and support your team to the max.
2) Nobody else wants to do it.

So by wanting to play medic, you cant start deciding who's gonna deserve healing and who's not. Of course people are gonna call you all the time and you're gonna be running like a chicken without a head, that is what medics do.

Medics heal people, dont always get thanks in return and get shot alot because they are vital key players. Playing medic in TF2 is a job, ladies and gentleman... So just go out there and heal. You're an important part of the team, you cannot think about stats, you gotta get in the action and risk your life! Somebody in trouble? You're Superman, you fly to the rescue. Your reward is going to be bullets or fire for doing it.

So what if people are spamming the medic call button? You do what you can at the end of the day abd that is all. It doesnt matter who you heal just go out and do it.

I think the only class more labor intensive then medic is engineer when there's 4 sentries up, the opposing team is making a huge rush, theres an evasive spy running amok, and the other 3 engies are dead.

Although I like the class, the Medic class is just a bothersome class.

Whenever I go play medic, I normally have the task of healing someone for them to run off, expecting me to follow without warning, and when they run back to get you, they have the nerve when they see a soldier launch a rocket (that isn't a crit) to dodge it and let the poor medic get shot.

Of course, there are times in which I'm not a medic (which is most of the time), when I've gone out and wondered off (without a medic), and catch on fire with about 20 health left. I finally find the medic with about 5, hitting the medic bind throughout, but instead of healing me, he walks past with a heavy to uber him.

The medic is just a class in which you just have to be more aware of everything. Even more than a Spy. Personally, I say the Medic class is the QB of TF2.

Doctor! Help! I require assistance! Medic! Hehe <.<

I just 'spam' medic (and spy) since the voices are hilarious. :D

But seriously, at the end of the day, whether players are spamming medic or not, you're going to heal them. Because thats what a good medic does. Either that or you can run around bone-sawing people instead since your team consists of hill billies, just for a laugh. ^_^

Come near me and I will heal you, spy or not. Medic is for the most part a thankless class but I am used to it and don't care. I know that I am doing my team good and if others complain I don't listen.

The only time I'm yelling/shouting "MEDIC!" is when I'm burning and with only about 50-60 health so I'm gonna die (only when I can't reach a medikit ofcourse) and the medic isn't doing anything else or/and isn't reacting. I know it's annoying, especially for the medic but I don't like to die. :(
And I play medic myself often ,too. So I know that it can be really annoying when somebody is continully yelling for a medic.
